Course Description:

Fly Fishing is attempting to catch trout using a specific type of rod, reel, line and “artificial fly” created by the angler to imitate a food source trout will naturally eat in its lake, stream or river. Overnight travel to to a fishing river will be part of the class. (The exact river be determined at a later date.) 

Students will be given a basic introduction to Fly Fishing. This will include what types of fly fishing equipment exist and how to choose, assemble, use this equipment. It also includes various casting techniques, beginning fly tying, and the basics of entomology, as well as how to analyze a trout stream.

Dates of Travel: December 9-14

Supplemental Fee: $2500
